This is Alvaro from Lima, Perú. The picture above shows both the dependancy and the dangers of electricty. This is a photo of the ''daily adventures'' of peruvians, who struggle to have electricity even if they risk their lives at the same time. This happens mostly in the center of the city, where houses are old, from the XIX and XVII century. People try to adapt cables to their old houses but the infrastructure is far from the ideal for implementing electricity. It is all pretty informal but the government does not seem to take full action. ![dangerous dependancy on electricity_lima_peru][1] Only ''historic'' buildings' seem to get the attention but the rest of them, where most people live under unhealthy and inadequate conditions, are not repaired at all. These places are also among the most overcrowded ones, so the danger increases more and more each day. We have suffered with previous experiences, but it does not seem to influence on taking actions for safety and security. I wish, in the end, that this soon changes for the best. Regards, Alvaro PS. By the way, the photo is taken from a newspaper.
