In terms of climate, which is personally the worst part of the country, it has an extreme profile : long, cold, dark winter and short, cozy and bight summer. Most monthes of the year sunlight is very rare, which leads to many depressed cases. Before April snow covers most areas of the land, adds to its incovenience. What's worse, the weather here is so changeable that it can be sunny and rainy at the same time. Although there is almost nothing man can do with nature, I think the city could provide more comfort by improving the heating system and providing some public umbrellas. By the way, it snowed yesterday, April 23rd. ![][1] ![][2] When it comes to culture, I don't think its own culture style is obvious. We may find some viking traces here but most of the time it's more like a mixture of cultures worldwide. But maybe inclusiveness is one of the important aspect of its own culture. If so there is no enying that Stockholm is amazingly successful because one can always enjoy the surroundings of arts, musics, designs and so on. Take for instance yesterday, April 23rd, the culture night of Stockholm, the whole city was in a carnival. More than 130 programmes were carried out throughout the city, all of which are free of charge. A real feast of exibitions, operas, folk performances, history, science and so on! ![][3] ![][4] I have to speak highly of the education here! Apart from world-famous educational institutes like Karolinska Institute, Uppsala University and Royal Institute of Technology(KTH, my college), the education here is omnipresent. I love the museums here best. This city has dozens of high quality museums covering art, nature, history, technology, culture, architecture etc. Whatever your interest is you can possibly find your thing here. Furthermore, almost every museum has educational devices interacting with you and a children area where children can play in an atmosphere of information presented in a vivid and attractive way. In my viewpoint this shows the city's emphasize on education of the next generation, not only within schools but more importantly, outside schools. ![][5] ![][6] Finally, this city establishes relatively highly effective infrastructure.
