I also live in Switzerland and I am now in Central America, in El Salvador more exactly, to help for a social housing project. El Salvador has a beautiful nature, with surprising climatic conditions. But coming from Switzerland I notice two big big problems. The first, is about the ***transportation system***. El Salvador is a poor country, so just rich people has cars, normally really big pick-ups, because the roads are quite wild. It means, that almost everybody use public transports, that here are represented just of buses. The real problem stays in these buses: they are the old school buses of USA (the ones of Forrest Gump, let's say of the '50s...) that provide a lot of loud and a really high pollution. The city where I am, Sonsonate, is stinking of burned gasoline from the 6 of the morning till really late. Building is always connected with moving, and this big buses in the middle of the colonial town are a fancy stinking dangerous and loud shame. Really far away of the silent electrical swiss trains... The second point, for me the most outrageous in regards of nature, is that this poor poor land as any ***water cleaning system***. It means, that even if they have mountains (with a lot of vulcanos too) and a lot of fresh water due to the rain saison, they have everywhere polluted water. This pollution is given by coliforms bacterias : read, feces. They have any idea about depuration systems. Nowhere. So, in a big city, in a small town or at seaside is always the same: no good water - really high illness danger. Really really different from the nice fresh water of Switzerland.![chaotic and dirty San Salvador City Center][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1415928428437142.jpg
