1) Culture and Education, which by the way I believe to be strictly related. In fact, in my opinion, these two criteria are inevitably linked to everyone lifestyle’s choices, life ethic beliefs, innovation and local traditions. Taken together, all these variables affirm the collective identity of a community. 2) Environment (and accessibility). 3) Job opportunity. 4) Safety. 5) Transportation. **2. Why do we live where we live?** Currently I live in Brussels, Belgium. 1) **Job opportunity**. I initially moved to Brussels for an internship which then gave me the opportunity to get hired. 2) I think Brussels is a very **multicultural place**. Its strong international trait is essentially due to Brussels' hosting of European institutions. Not only Brussel’s key international role produces value itself, but also it boosts and gives rise to many other business around it (e.g. tourism). Brussel’s population, needless to say, is also highly international, multilingual and multicultural. Consequently it allows to naturally enjoy different cultures and traditions. 3) **Culture**. I am fully convinced that Brussels is a stimulating context which offers many opportunities for social and cultural exchanges. To give an example, an increasing number of artists have chosen this city precisely for its dynamism and cultural openness. Diversity and pluralism are responsible for the city's prime cultural feature. 4) Once again, its international peculiarity makes Brussels a place where **creativity** can be freely developped and being facilitated to open-mindedness and innovative ideas. 5) Brussels is furthermore a highly connected city (**public transportation wise**). Thanks to its geographical position, it allows to reach in few hours the majority of European capitals traveling cheaply. **3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** 1_Culture and Education 80/100 2_Environment 60/100 3_Job opportunity 80/100 4_ Safety 50/100 5_Transportation 40/100 **4. What would you change?** Despite having many parks, I think that Brussels still have an excess of concrete and cars which are still the main protagonist of its urban space. I would then promote more sustainability following a green politic to develop further public transportation and green spaces. **5. Why do we move?** If I would ever decide to move elsewhere, I would opt for the below countries: 1.Switzerland (Lousanne or Geneva) for Job opportunity, Infrastructure, Transportation, Health care, Environment 2.Italy , my country, (Torino, Venice or Florence) - for Culture, Education, Climate, Food, Lifestyle, Health Care and Safety 3.Spain (Barcelona) - for Culture, Education, Climate, Food, Lifestyle, health care ![saisir une description de l’image ici][1] ![saisir une description de l’image ici][2] ![saisir une description de l’image ici][3] ![saisir une description de l’image ici][4] ![saisir une description de l’image ici][5] ![saisir une description de l’image ici][6] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14460498228893163.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14460498464689349.jpg [3]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14460498641283516.jpg [4]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14460498772859442.jpg [5]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14460498905322921.jpg [6]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14460499077917453.jpg
