Electricity wires, electricity beams, cranes, means of transportation, satellite receivers on the top of the buildings, they’ re all shown here stressing out the fact that infrastructure forms our everyday life in its whole. It is, moreover, infrastructure such an integral component of our life that scenes like the one here can easily be overpassed without notice. But this can no longer be the case. The need of our cities to be liveable is dependent on the changes to be made in infrastructure systems. From the way that energy enters our homes to the way we think about it and how we use it, transformations need to be made both in technical and in behavioral terms. We, as the inhabitants of the cities, should pass from a passive participation to an active one. And that is our greatest bet to fulfill.
