[1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1418082030614214.jpg In my opinion, our level of dependency on infrastructure (electricity, transport, water, energy) is best portrayed in the areas from which it is *missing*. Thus I have submitted an image of an area (one of several such "deserted islets") from my city : Bucharest, Romania. As is seen in the picture, the above-mentioned lack of infrastructure seems to have stunted the growth of the city, which has developped around these "no man's lands" since it was the easier option to just ignore them rather than *fix* the underlying issues, *connect* them to the existing infrastructure and *integrate* them within the city.. That being said, I am confident that at some point in the (hopefully) near future, these areas will have been succesfully transformed into functional parts of a **future city**.
