1. Infrastructure 2. Environment 3. Safety 4. Economy 5. Education **2. Why do we live where we live?** I live in Valencia, Venezuela. My reasons to live here are as follow: - Location – economy (a city between one of the most important ports and the capital) - Education (universities) - Environment (surrounded by hills, trees everywhere) - Transportation (even though traffic can be hell, it’s not as bad as in Caracas – my birthplace) - Climate (I prefer sunny and hot rather than wet and cold) **3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** - Infrastructure > 50 - Environment > 90 - Safety > 40 - Economy > 40 - Education > 80 - General livability score > 70 **4. What would you change?** If I were the mayor of Valencia, the very first thing that I would do (if I were allowed) is to take control over the water management system and start treating properly the water that arrives to every single home in the city. Clean the creeks, the rivers and the Lake of Valencia, because as it is now, they’re our only source of water – yes, we are currently drinking literally our own wastewater. **5. Why do we move?** - Barcelona, Spain > its architecture and urban layout and their history, culture, safe, climate, beaches - Amsterdam, The Netherlands > the canals, climate, cycling, culture, town-looking - Newcastle upon Tyne, UK > universities, multicultural city, its public spaces (parks, quayside), nightlife, not as expensive as London (I've already lived here) ![View from the San José parish of Valencia][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14458153596732027.jpg
