All the public transports such as buses, trains, trams.... are working with electricity, and the network here is really huge. Anything is accesible with public transport, no matter time. It´s hard to see, but on the picture there is a tram lane with electrical cables in the middle of the street. Futhermore, there is an imporant campaing for the use of electrical cars, even it´s possible to charge your car from several points around the city. Street poles, lights are also depending on electricity. On the other hand, there is an abuse of the electricity. As it can be seen on the picture, bus advertising, street ads, parking meters and common building areas (stairs) are always on, and there is no chance to switch it off. This create an unnecessary demand of electricity that could be reduced. But, at least, Dutch government has a commitment with renewable energies, mainly wind turbines next to the sea and tidal energy on the dams. Anyway, the first step for sustainability it´s to reduce the unnecessary demand of energy, and some actions should be taken. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14179767354219816.jpg
