Infrastructure in Hong Kong is quite obvious mainly because much of it was designed in as the city expanded. In this photos we are lucky to see not only electricity substation which supplies the whole area, but also the water pump station. The source of water is behind the apartments blocks in a reservoir. We can see that we also have ambulance and fire stations in the same photo as well as the main road that goes around HK island. Unlike much of HK which evolved around such things as fishing villages, his part of HK island was designed and the infrastructure put in place beforehand. Not seen here is a pipeline which comes from mid levels of HK island and runs beneath this area to discharge into the Sea. This was part of a large project to reduce flooding during storms. The areas of green will with time vanish as the government plans to expand the residential area in the coming years. SEE PHOTO [2] [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1416643913468588.jpg
