1. Which are your top livability criteria? 1. safety 2. job opportunity 3. infrastructure 4. environment 5. international community 2. Why do we live where we live? The truth is that I had no onthe opportunity to go to another city - if I wanted to go for an exchange there was only Bratislava to choose. but the fact is thah i realy like this city. It's mixed, and varius. Old town part is amazing. For me one of the biggest advantages of Bratislava is hypsometric diversity. in my home town which is flat like a table, there is only one view point, while here there are many different. You can watch whole city from for example Slavin. ![view from castle in Bratislava][1]![view from castle in Bratislava][2] It's safe here what is for me realy important. Here is also good educational offer - I;m studyin at STU (Technical Univerity of Bratislava), we've got some nice excursions to cities in Slovakia to discover different kind of urbanisation, buildings, to get to know how to plann cities with reference to miantain and protect environment. Through the Bratislava corss a river - Danube. It was one of the most important shipping ways connecting west and central Europe. Nowadays it is a tourit attraction, there are a lot of pubs, restaurants and hotels. Waterfront is also very beautiful. ![Danube waterfront][3]![Danube][4]![Danube][5] I like buildings here. Spirit of the city is quite similar to mine hometown - beautiful frontages is city center, a lot of public squares. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? 60/100 ideal 70/100 general 4. What would you change? There are a lot of problems with transportation here. Drivers do not respect pedestrians. You have to bravely risk your life while walking htrough pedestrian crossing, because you never know if driver stop or not. The same with buses and trams. They are the most important users of streets. It should be changed. There are a few bike lanes - cyclists also do not have easy life here. There are no pedestrian crossing in the places where they should be. It is quite dangerous in city center. there are not enough street lights. 5. Why do we move? We are moving for a better life, for an adventure, to see if we will handle living in new place. I would like to move to Vienna in Austria. I've been there for 2 times, and I felt in love with this city. A lot of job opportunities. Perfect climate for me, beutiful city center and building. I felt there very safety. There is a well expanded infrastructure, ans high living level. Vienna has very good international connectivity, and people there are so kind. The also respect pedestrians, much more than in Bratislava, what is important factor for me.
