Due to its geographical location Kharkiv is a transportation node between Europe, whole Ukraine and Russia. Thus, I have marked on the map the main transportation directions that once defined the role of a city as being the biggest transportation and industrial city during Soviet Union Period. - In post industrial period transportation system had a significant impact on the development of Barabashova, the biggest market in Ukraine, that covers an area of over 75 000 square meters. As a result, the growth of the market caused new problems connected with the contact with residential area and traffic jams on the nearby roads. So now we see how created trade infrastructure influence on transportation infrastructure inside the city.
