N - Safety, C - Economy, B - Culture, D - Education, B - Culture **Q2:** Reason 1: Presence of a strong creative culture. (Amsterdam has huge amounts of start ups, hip pop up stores and an amazing design scene.) Reason 2: Silence ( a lot of pedestrian and bike only areas which reduce the amount of cars.) Reason 3: Canals ( the presence of water allows for a lot of relatively unused space which allows the city to breath. Besides Venice, I could name very few other cities that have grown around canals as much as Amsterdam) Reason 4: Heritage ( Amsterdam is packed with tourists because the city has such a unique architectural/urban history). Reason 5: Coolness ( Its a "cool" place to be. Amsterdam is associated with being hip, cool and up to date. Its far from being a measurable criteria but the image a city has is vital for the attraction of people. Think of Berlin and now Istanbul) ![enter image description here][1] ![enter image description here][2] **Q3:** N - Safety ( 90/100 ) C - Economy (80 /100 ) B - Culture ( 90 / 100 ) D - Education ( 70/100 ) B - Culture ( 90 / 100 ) General Liveability: 85/100 **Q4:** As previously mentioned, Amsterdam is a city where bikes run wild. It enables people to reach every location within the city in a safe, sustainable and relatively silent way. If I had the power and if would project my goals into the near future I would eliminate all fossil fuel based modes of transportations and only allow electric vehicles within the city perimeters to reduce noise and pollution. I often think the sound a city "makes" is greatly underestimated. This relatively drastic measure could assists in greatly in reducing the noise footprint. **Q5:** Place 1: Barcelona Qualities - Street Culture - Food sharing - Language - Climate - Vibrancy Place 2: Florence - Cultural Heritage - Romantic Image - Design Culture - Wine - Language Place 3: Stockholm - Salaries - Work/Life balance - Nature - Quality of women - Design Culture [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14446284853499456.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14446286126248991.jpg
