The Power plant works on local lignite coal, which is very poor in calories and is very rich in sulfur. Nevertheless the yield of coal is very cheap and the coal field is very big and that is why it is exploited. The plant uses new technologies for the treatment of the waste products in order to ensure as clean product as possible. The Power plant provides 5 % of the energy power of the country and uses about 5 mln tons of coal for it. Accept electricity the plant provides heat and hot water for the buildings in the air. The public buildings use the service free of charge.
