- Job Opportunities - Housing - Political Stability - Environment - Safety **2. Why do we live where we live?** I live in Santo Domingo city, Dominican Republic. Among others, I choose to live here as this is the main city when higher education is provided, besides, it's the capital city of the country, thus, sort of, where every person, after finishing high school is supposed to move when applying for University studies. After obtaining a degree, I decided to stay here, as this is also where the most employment opportunities are offered and can be found. It's also a center location for reaching other cities and provincial territories. Family reasons, my parents and close family moved here 15 years ago, so my nuclear family tie is located here. To what extent does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** - Job Opportunities [20 %] - Housing [60 %] - Political Stability [40 %] - Environment [80 %] - Safety [20 %] **4. What would you change?** Had I been the Major of the city, the first thing I would have improved were the public services, transportation, sanitation project all around the city, where wastewater is actually running to major rivers without proper sanitation, waste disposal is another major issue affecting the city, also pedestrian facilities all needed everywhere around. There is a shortage of public schools in many locations too that needs to be fulfilled, and last but no least, informational systems to be implemented around the city, as free internet connection in public spaces in buildings. An information and technology revolution is way needed. **5. Why do we move?** - Canada - Australia - Switzerland - Norway According to information, these are places which live up to good standards in terms of social inclusion, access, education, and opportunities.
