The Indian Government will set up the worlds largest solar power plant in it's northwestern state of Rajasthan and the venture is expected to significantky reduce solar power taxes in the country. The project is known as the " **Ultra-Mega Green Solar Power Project**", will have the total power generation capacity of 4000 megawatts which is more than the double the total solar power generation capacity in India. The plant when fully operational will generate **6000 million units of electricity a year.** The Government aims to increase the current capacity of 1700 megawatts of solar power to 20000 megawatts of solar energy by 2020, through its **Green Ambitious Project, The National Solar Mission**. It could help to reduce India's carbon dioxide emissions by more than 4 million tones a year. As a renewable source of energy, it will also help the environment and which is also sustainable. source: *www.nature.com*
