Ciudad Guayana is planned from a concept developed by a group of Venezuelan professionals using the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Harvard University city, both localities in United States; The project was accepted and implemented by the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana. According to information www.asiesbolivar.com, Ciudad Guayana is the sixth largest and most modern city in Venezuela (for those who say it is a town). The area of Puerto Ordaz was built and planned by companies Orinoco Mining Company (which is now FMO) and the CorporaciĆ³n Venezolana de Guayana. Ciudad Guayana was a city focused initially as an industrial city, this has led many outsiders have come to work in this city. For this same reason it has grown rapidly but is still a young city with a great lack of social, educational and cultural activities. Same reason I've heard many comments that this city is a "people", but is this because Guiana began as a largely industrial city has slowly and is growing like a big city. (It also influences the country's politics and stuff we already know ...). Founded: July 2, 1961 November 13, 2006 opening of the second bridge over the Orinoco River. The 2nd largest in the country. Rich in economic activity, basic industries, minerals, variety of universities. Project planning until 2020. ![Cachamay Stadium][1] ![Panoramic of the city][2] ![Map of the city][3] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14165862887849635.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1416586342194092.jpg [3]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1416586379466964.png It's a case of success, but perhaps one of the weaknesses is growth, uncontrolled population, and permissive than is the government buildings in areas without planning and this causes an overflow of new developments in areas not suitable for life. Here I would say as a natural part of the growth of a city, this is normal, sometimes the numbers are far from reality. But I think it's a case of success with their problems like any city.
