To appreciate this idea, I quote from **Vitruvius**, who says that **the architecture has to be beautiful, have to respond to technological systems and functional.** Faced with this, how to make beautiful architecture, with new technologies and which responds to a function. **TECNOLOGY** Initially the **architecture** was nature, today with the technological advances we have been able to use nature to be able to develop new technologies that will allow us to build better. Then, we can first of all say, these "new technologies" that take advantage of the nature, to really take advantage of it and not to wear it. Think, which are the renewable resources are provided by the Earth and take advantage of them. A few weeks ago we talked about the bamboo, as efficient and renewable material. **Many materials owns the land, how few of those we use, and how much use of those we exploit.** **FUNCTION** Secondly, it has to be **functional**. Think if the environment in which is **located** a city meets that same function, if not look for alternatives. For example, the Greeks on the Acropolis, worshipped their gods, in the agora they discussed, and so there are different scenarios that allowed to integrate in the same city, **different areas, with different functions**, at few km responding to the basics. **Nowadays. Everything is compact**, thinking on "the pedestrian", and it is true, but I don't think to be the best, because, that changes the environment, it standardizes the downtown area, changes the microclimate, there is lack of oxygen by the crowding of people, is **annoying** to circular, there is noise, dirt, etc. The **urban Microcenters**, although they respond to political and economic issues, would not be better with joints, places, spaces for interaction, generate a sequence, and **generate pauses between those areas**. **BEAUTY** Thirdly: is essential that architecture **be attractive**. When you visit a Museum, it is very evident that the more attractive showrooms, are those with increased frequency of **visitors**, not for being popular, but because they attract. The same as a city, have to be focal, attractive, and **tasteful**, not just innovate in forms, or generate a focus, has to **integrate to the environment, and generate a whole**. That makes **domino effect** on people, the inhabitants, users, designers, to all. Like **music**, if you take away a note to a score, is unbalanced, annoys and distracts you, isn´t beautiful anymore, and know you don´t like it, so you doesn’t care about it. **In my city**, these three aspects, are met on the more negative side. it sounds average critic, but it is reality. Because we are in a place in the third world, while we think of ourselves in the first world, it can be observed that the lack of interest, resources, etc. by the authorities, left adrift projection, plugging holes, without reason, think and imagine will look like in 5 years, at least. Recently with the idea of joint spaces, and create openness to new corners of the city, rich natural surroundings, was designed, planned and built a Civic Center, the municipality of the city. While the idea is good, it has had many problems with regard to their relationship with the environment, since for its preparation they altered the River bordering the field, resulting in its overflow and subsequent flood of the premise. Again, we have to integrate the architecture with the environment to make sustainable cities Anyway, I think, if we speak of future cities, we must **study better the environment**, know him, like him, visit him, walking, step on it, in a Word, **TO LOVE IT**. In this way, our imagination, our creativity, will be **in tune with it**, and thus we can design, plan and arrange pieces of art, which maybe beautiful, that are technology and complying with a function. Here are some photos and links of my city... ![CIVIC CENTER][1] ![CITY MAP][2] ![Córdoba microcenter][3] ![Córdoba microcenter by night][4] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14150273679427581.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14150274741608819.jpg [3]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14150275083502681.jpg [4]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1415027562504976.jpg IN ORDER TO THIS, i do have a question, and is: how can we do to make everybody happy with our urban planning design? jajjaja THANKS AGAIN SeeU i also let you a youtube link of a TANGO, "mi Buenos Aires Querido" de Carlos Gardel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H706A6gFACE PEOPLE LIVE IN THE CITIES, MAKE CITIES FOR THEM!!!
