1. From Gothenburg, Sweden. The chimney and factory underneath it is part of a power plant still around in fairly central parts of town because it also is a hub for cables and pipes running through the city and removing the building has been too costly. This industrial style (or lack of?) is normally moved out of cities as they move away from being industrial based economies, so this building remains as quite the landmark. Below it is a fairly newly designed square with elements intended to 'comment' on the structure of the remainder of a fortification from the 1600's or so. 2. No leaves on trees -> fairly cold climate and possibly likely late fall, winter or early spring. Elaborate roofing and facade details suggests that the residents of this particular area are relatively wealthy. 3. In cold climates, a strong determinant for the livelyness of a place is how warm it is during the long times when it's almost too cold to be outside. During these times people can always be found where the sun is let through and the wind speed is low. The leaves of the trees suggesting the invisible information of the place's climate can lead one to (after finding out from where the sun shines) layout the trees, benches and possibly add some walls for managing winds – more invisible information – to create a nicer microclimate to attract people and make the urban space more livable by increasing the amount of visitors.
