1. Hamburg, Germany ![Hamburg][1] 2. Munich, Germany ![Munich][2] 3. Shanghai (Area), People's Republic of China ![Shanghai][3] 4. Vienna, Austria ![Vienna – Klosterneuburg][4] 5. Sydney, Australia ![Sydney][5] **Five Characteristics that I Find Important** 6. Mobility 7. Appealing Job Offers 8. Beautiful Cityscape, Water & Green 9. Good International Restaurants & Cultural Offers 10. Future Orientation **My City: Frankfurt am Main, Germany** 1. **Mobility:** In general it is good, especially Frankfurt's connection to the world, but could still be improved in many ways (reliability of public transport, availability of connections to Frankfurt's surroundings, price). 2. **Jobs:** Many fascinating employers and job opportunities are to be found. 3. **Cityscape:** Frankfurt's outer appearance has improved a lot already but appears to me as cut in badly connected parts by large streets. There could still be more green in downtown. It has to offer water though. 4. **Restaurants & Culture:** There are in fact many good international restaurants to be found, even more than in Hamburg (my number 1). Also when it comes to culture, Frankfurt is better than Hamburg and many other cities in Germany that I know. 5. **Future Orientation:** That is a hard task for most German cities as they are lacking the critical mass of people and opportunities like e.g. in Shanghai.
