Why do we live where we live?** I live in Estelí city, in the north central part of Nicaragua, elevation 800 m. above sea level, area 795.7 km2 with population 129,787 inhabitants. 1- I was borne here. 2- Most of my close family and friends live here. 3- The climate is pleasant through most of the year fresh in winter and not too hot in summer. 4- The economy is prosperous, fast and growing due to its central location and the Pan-American Highway that crosses the city. 5- There are good basic infrastructures. **3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** On a scale from 1-100 I would rate Estelí city with 84 %, based on the next livability criteria: 16 Climate 18 Safety 16 Infrastructure 16 Economy 16 Sanitation Standards 84 total **4. What would you change?** I would inforce the noise reduction measure during the day and especially at night. **5. Why do we move?** First I would move to Managua city, the capital: there are two main reasons job opportunities, and better access to postgraduate education. The others I selected some advantages compare to where I live in order to complete de 5 you requested. There are two main reasons why I haven’t moved yet: 1 Climate, is it too hot and humid, 2- commuting are larger than where I live. 1- The main reason is for better job opportunities, 2- The economy is the biggest in the country with increases my job opportunities, 3- Better access to postgraduate education, 4- Better access to culture activities, 5- Better access to recreation possibilities. Second I would move to USA. 1- The main reason is for better job opportunities, 2- The economy is bigger than my country with increases my job opportunities, 3- Better access to postgraduate education, 4- To know a different culture, 5- Better access to recreation possibilities.
