In my point of view the top 5 livability criteria are ranked as follows: - Economy - Safety - Education - Climate - Health Care Why do we live where we live? I live in Sindelfingen, Germany and here are my 5 reasons for living here: - A) Sindelfingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has a strong economy and its proximity to Stuttgart promises a stable job market. - B) Germany is a safe country and there is no fear of robbery on the streets. - C) Education is Germany is free and there are many schools iin Sindelfingen that offer free education to children, universities to students or adults and evening schools for interested professionals - D) I love the German climate and the opportunity to fully experience 4 seasons - E) I have lived in other parts of the world (China, India, Macau) and came to experience a healthcare system that is based uponpayments up front. In Germany I am universally insured by law with minimal payments which in my case make me feel safer. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? Scale of 1 = poor and 100 = excellent Sindelfingen can be ranked as follows: - Economy = 70 - Safety = 90 - Education = 80 - Climate = 70 - Health Care = 80 - Overall = 78 What would you change? In Sindelfingen I would like to improve the economy further to give more options in the job market. Whereas economy is good, most industries are centered around the automotive sector. As such my first measure would be to great subsidies for industries that are currently NOT in the area. That way economical diversity can be achieved. Why do we move? If I would move I would move as follows: Berlin - Reputation - Growing economy - Cheap housing - International community - Nightlife Tokyo - Reputation - Modern city - Culture - Food Amsterdam - Culture - Nightlife - Climate - Food - International community ![Sindelfingen Market Square][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14448187165121974.jpg
