In the list below, you can find (in alphabetical order) some of the livability criteria that official surveys use to determine the livability of a city. We want you to select the top-5 criteria that you think contribute the most to a city's livability. Order them with the most important at the top of your list. 1 Infrastructure 2 Safety 3 Housing 4 Transportation 5 Education 2. Why do we live where we live? Name the place you live and provide 5 reasons why you live there. Those reasons may not be related to the official livability criteria. Order them with the most important at the top of your list. To support your statements you are asked to provide one or more images from your area of residence, that describe the reasons you selected. I live in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The city is divided by zones, I just move to zone 15 that is located in the east part of the city. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? On a scale from 1-100 rate to what extend your place of residence fulfills your ideal livability criteria (i.e. the top-5 criteria you selected in Question 1). Safety: 85, Housing: 80, Schools and work in the area: 75, Infrastructure: 80, Parks 85 On scale from 1 to 100 I think I give my place of residence an 85 The score of the city in general will be a 65 Provide also a general livability score for your city, using the same scale (1-100). 4. What would you change? Imagine that you were the mayor of your place of residence. Which would be the first measure you would take to improve livability? I would check the territorial ordening Plan to regulate the excessie construction of buildings, traffic control, security in the districts or áreas, organize neighborhood groups so the get involved in their zones and make new laws to regulate more Green áreas and recreation for each zone. 5. Why do we move? In this last part of the exercise we want you to name three places that you would select to move in case you decided to change place of residence. In addition, provide us with 5 qualities of these places that played important role during your decision process. Order them with the most important at the top of your list. I just move 5 month ago from zone 13 to zone 15 , I choose this new zone for some good reasons: 1) Safety 2) Enviroment 3) Infracstructure 4) School and work in the same área 5) Better houses If I take a decision to move again or change residence, I would go to another country, out of Guatemala, with less people and less cars, more like a countryside like Italy for example, searching for more quality of life, more countryside views or more time to expend with nature.
