Safety Job opportunities Environment Education Health care Why do I live where I live? ![enter image description here][1] I live in Veszprém, Hungary. The reasons of choosing this town were the following: - to live close to the family of my husband (to give our children the possibility of meeting their grandparents and nieces often) and have a family house with small garden on our own - to live in a human-scale, relatively small city which is, however, a county seat with all infrastructure we need - to live in a city which is close to great geological spots (hills to hike, lake to swim in) - to give our children the chance of going to school on foot or by bike - to live in a place where education and health care services are satisfying To what extend does my own place of residence fulfill my ideal livability criteria? Safety 90% Job opportunities 50% Environment 100% Education 70% Health care 75% General livability score for Veszprém 75% What would I change? I would reduce rents in the downtown shops to encourage business on the main street and eliminate gaping empty rooms. I would promote somehow the possibility of telework of part-time work, especially for parents of little kids. I would initiate the renovation/rehabilitation of great historical buildings in poor condition and provide them with new function. Why and where would I move? Wien, Austria - political stability - job opportunities - education - safety - recreation possibilities London, UK - political stability - job opportunities - culture - safety - infrastructure Szeged, Hungary - family - environment - education - health care - culture [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14445102514047035.jpg
