1. Which are your top livability criteria? Housing Job opportunities Infrastructure Transportation Political stability 2. Why do we live where we live? Prague, Czech Republic Prague stands fairly high in all of these. Housing relatively affordable by Western standards, job opportunities excellent (it is a capital city, of the richer ones in EU), infrastructure well organized. Transportation is a mixed bag, declining in some areas (in mine), improving in others (new ring road). Political stability is there even if the government changes frequently. 3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? My own residence declined in regards to transportation, new ring road changed the traffic patterns in my part of town. Compared to European cities: Housing - 70 Job opportunities - 80 Infrastructure - 80 Transportation - 70 Political stability - 85 Average of 77. 4. What would you change? One change: new roads with smart traffic management; alternatively expanded commuter train system (S-Bahn type) 5. Why do we move? Orlando or another city in Florida - climate upstate New York - nature, small town feel Saigon - vibrant metropolis Other criteria I would consider: safety (implicit) connectivity Picture: "Zbraslav, Radotín a estakáda" by ŠJů (cs:ŠJů) - Own work.
