Transportation Why do we live where we live? ----------------------------- I am currently living in Macau as a university student. ![The Residential College][1] ![Surrounding Campus on the Day][2] 1. I am not satisfied with my hometown, which has limited opportunities for me to pursue 2. Macau is a well-developed city with populated places, shops and services to discover 3. It has a high cost-performance and fast-growing tertiary education around South China 4. Its cultural and social environment allows me to both relax and strive whenever I want 5. I can learn to live on my own without my family To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Environment - 85 2. International Connectivity - 60 3. Safety - 95 4. Recreation Possibilities - 40 5. Transportation - 60 -- General livability score: 73 (weighted mean) What would you change? ---------------------- While Macau is more international-friendly than most places in China, it falls behind other major Asian cities like Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, due to its low recognition and lack of promotion. I would deliver policies to promote Macau as a good place to live, study, invest and innovate. Macau actually deserves these. Why do we move? --------------- Three places that I will choose to move: A. Singapore 1. A global hub with better international recognition and services 2. A high-efficiency government with least bureaucracy and corruption 3. Top-tier natural environment and urban design, also known as City in a Garden 4. One of the safest city in the world 5. Familiar cultural environment as major population is Chinese B. London 1. A global hub with long history 2. Environment combined with both English culture and modern design 3. Has almost-complete selections of goods and services 4. Large selection of transportation around the city 5. Ease of travel around Europe C. Boston 1. A large city in United States 2. Has two of the best universities in the world 3. Has cleaner environment than New York 4. (In my opinion) safer than in California 5. A suitable place for startups [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1457440127441230.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14574401636679245.jpg
