Why do I live where I live: Puerto Vallarta.** A.- Environment: Puerto Vallarta is a city located between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. B.- Safety: Despite the situation of the rest of my country, Puerto Vallarta enjoys a safe environment for inhabitants and visitors. Recreation Possibilites: Puerto Vallarta has a wide range of sports activities, such as tennis, soccer, extreme sports; water activities like scuba diving, surf, yachting; recreational activities like swimming, hiking, walking; or entertainment activities like cinemas, casinos, night clubs. The recreation possibilities of Puerto Vallarta are for every age and every socioeconomic background. ![Malecon][6] El Malecón is an important space in the city, here you can find different recreational activities like comedy shows, music shows, night clubs or just hang around and have an ice cream cone or a traditional "elote". ![Isla Rio Cuale][7] The Cuale River island is a calm and relaxing place in the Downtown area of Puerto Vallarta. E. International Connectivity: Puerto Vallarta is a popular beach resort with direct flights to important cities in the United States such as San Francisco, Dallas, Los Angeles, Houston and Chicago; with Canadian cities like Vancouver, Toronto or Calgary, and more recently it is expanding to British cities such as London and Manchester. **3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** A. Environment: 95 B. Safety: 80 C. Culture: 80 D. Recreation Possibilities: 85 E. International Connectivity: 78 Puerto Vallarta general livability: 83.6 **4. What would I change?** Transport! Definately the movility issue in Puerto Vallarta and in many Mexican cities is of great concern. I think that if our cities have an efficient transport system our livability will rise. ![transport][8] Puerto Vallarta is overcrowded with urban buses, taxis and private automobiles; for the moment, there is not any proposal to solve the transport issue. **5. Where would I move?** ***1.- Rouen, France:*** I have lived here for one semester and I loved this French city by these qualities: Transport, culture, recreational possibilities, safety and infrastructure. ***2.- San Francisco, US:*** I have visited San Francisco several times and these are the qualities that made me think to live here: Climate, recreation possibilities, culture, job opportunities and international connectivity. ***3.- Vancouver, Canada:*** I have been here once, but Vancouver has a charm no one can't resist, I think these qualities are the reason: Environment, recreation possibilites, transport, safety and sanitation standards.
