2. Dubai, UAE: Job Opportunity, Safety, Political Stability, Infrastructure, International Connectivity 3. Dubai according to my livability criteria: Culture (25%), Job Opportunities (75%), Political Stability (90%), Infrastructure (90%), Safety (90%). General Livability as an average of the above scores: 74% 4. First measure I would take if I were the mayor: Improve walkability and public transportation 5. London, Beirut, Istanbul - All the cities rank high in terms of **culture**. Regarding **job opportunities**, they would also rank higher than Dubai because of the availability of opportunity in my field if interest (international development). A third important factor that was not listed above if the existence of a **free and active civil society** - this is a critical differentiator between my current residence and where I would like to live. The final two criteria of why I selected there three cities are **political stability** and **infrastructure** (Beirut definitely does not score well here, but it ranks highly in the first three criteria and has a critical advantage of being home to my family.) ![Dubai main transport artery][1] ![Dubai Palm Islands (Now is fully developed) - Beautiful design, but nonsensical in terms of transport. E.g. it is a very long drive to reach the end of the crescent.][2] [1]: http://www.publicdomainpictures.net/pictures/60000/nahled/dubai-2013.jpg [2]: https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/24/56656498_0f56b96a19_b.jpg
