According to me, Livability is an individual concept. Every individual has different needs and requirements as per which one would consider an area or a city livable. However, there are some criteria and some ground rules which can make the city livable, on an average, for every individual, meeting everyone's needs. A city can be termed as livable when it meets the needs of, more or less, all the people and satisfies them and makes them feel at home and comfortable. **2.If you need to define livability with the following terms, how would you rank them?** 1. Neighbourhood 2. Housing 3. Environment 4. Transportation 5. Health 6. Engagement 7. Opportunity **3.The USA cities and their livability scores.** ![][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14568189654541391.png **4. Can you explain the change in livability score?** Neighborhood is an important aspect of livability for me. On customizing the term Neighborhood at the Livability Index, and reducing the value of the rest, the result shown was significantly similar in all the three cases. On studying carefully, it has been seen that there is usually only slight change in the overall livability value of the city, until the value of Opportunity is reduced. There is a considerable rise in the overall livability value with increase in Neighborhood and reduction in Opportunity. It can be concluded through this that if the neighborhood is good and healthy with the balance of work, play and life, then despite the low rate of the rest of the factors, the city can still be considered highly livable.
