Liveability of a city is the quality to appeal to the inhabitants and to ensure their quality of life. **2. If you need to define liveability with the following terms, how would you rank them?** ![Ranking][1] **3. Choose three cities in the United States (preferable cities in different states).** Providence (Rhode Island), New Orleans (Louisiana), Salem (Oregon). **4. Have a look at the liveability scores. How high is the liveability score of every city? 5. How much has the liveability score of every city changed?** ![Cities][2] **6. Can you explain the change in liveability scores of your cities?** "Environment" is the factor that I customised because I believe that access to clean air and water is the most basic and the most essential factor to liveability. Providence, New Orleans and Salem had similar liveability scores but these changed dramatically after customization: Providence’s score decreased significantly, which means that while many people do not have access to clean water and air, its other factors (such as housing, transportation and neighbourhood) showed very high results. The air pollution could be explained by the fact that Providence is, historically, an important industrial city. New Orleans’s score increased significantly, which means that the city has very good access to clean water and air in comparison to other cities, while some other factors showed lower results than average. For me, this could mean that the city maintains the basic needs even if it is particularly at risk of natural disasters, such as hurricanes. Finally, Salem’s score increased very slightly, which means that isolating the factor “Environment” does not have a strong impact in the liveability of Salem. This shows that all factors showed average results within themselves and in comparison to the other cities in the U.S..
