Housing **Why do we live where we live?** I live in Valencia, in the Spanish Mediterranian coast. Here are the reasons why I haven't move even with the Spanish long-term crisis: 1. Social network 2. Job personal opportunities 3. Safety 4. Climate 5. International Connectivity **To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** Many studies (as URBEGO 2014 Youth Engagement Index, where I participated) shows a dichotomy between the factors that directly depend on public policies and the ones that are mostly influenced by other agents (civil society and private business). Valencia is considered a city with a great potential in terms of location, size, tolerance, quality of life and cultural life; but engagement is clearly undermined by the negative economic conditions related to the ongoing crisis, partially overcome by the entrepreneurial spirit. Housing 75% General livability score for Valencia: 63% **What would you change?** There have been an actual change in local government, after 25 years so we can analize with the evidence the first measure improved. For me, there are two short term measures: First of all to improve sanitation standarts within the city.
