A1. 1. Culture 2. Education 3. Sanitation Standards 4. Safety 5. Economy A2. I live in Gurgaon, India which is part of A part of the National Capital Region, New Delhi. The reason i stay here is mostly because i've always stayed here all my life. And that means that i am a part of the very systems that make this city. Which make me understand these surrounding more than any other. So it's a comfort zone. Secondly, my friends and family are here, in close vicinity. Just a short drive away. Thirdly, being in a developing country and an upcoming city things move fast, things are constantly changing. So it's not monotonous. Fourthly, I have wanted leave this city due to its low livability standards but affordability abroad is low and there are way many jobs here than the developed countries i would want to go to. And finally, we in India are dealing with our modernity in a very amusing way, there are things which you see almost every day out on the street that are absurd to most foreigners but i love it. I feel it gives us life, and shows us for the imperfect humans we are, and not just another gear in an monotonous machine. ![Very non-manicured beauty][1] ![Towers are rising fast but with no sense of context][2] ![The absurd everyday things about my city!][3] A3. For my city i would give: 70-culture, 60-education,20-sanitation, 30-safety,85-economy For my country i would give: 70 A4. I feel the biggest problem in India is that we are trying to solve the problems of our cites by looking at cities in the U.S. Or even taking Dubai as an example. And the only reason we're doing this is because we are concentrating on the economic success and lifestyle of these places. We get sold w=on what the media portrays these places to be. And this i feel is disrupting our cities and slowly eroding away our culture. All my city is becoming is roads and cars, and the only choice people have is to stay within these confinements because any other way is to inconvenient. If i was the mayor of this place i would go along the lines of Enrique Penalosa (mayor of Bogota) and discourage the use of private cars by shrinking roads and providing spaces where people can thrive and grow and explore their own modernity rather than copy anyone else. A5. Italy: 1. Such a thriving culture and amazingly beautiful 2. Doesn't work like clockwork, it feels more humane 3.
