1. Which are your top livability criteria? 1.Climate 2.Transportation 3.Health Care 4.Safety 5.Culture 2. Why do we live where we live? Nowadays, I leave in Brussels (Belgium), where I moved few months ago. The reasons why I chose this country were: 1.Highly job opportunities in our field (architecture). 2.Open and tolerant culture ( because is the capital of Europe where it lives a big amount of expats)with a Latin language easy to learn ( I am Spanish). 3.City with a medium European size where you can find all the facilities and needs for your daily life. 4.Relatively easy to move within it due to the amount of public transport that you can find. 5.The moderate temperatures (despite the constantly rain and wind). 3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? Brussels, top-5 criteria 1.Climate (60%) 2.Transportation (65%) 3.Health Care (90%) 4.Safety (55%) 5.Culture (80%) General livability score 70% 4. What would you change? The biggest problem that Brussels has is the high amount of cars inside the city, which leads to a continuous traffic jams during the peak hours, more accidents and unsafe areas, a lack freedom in the mobility of the citizens...Also the public transport could be better and in fact the city is now trying to improve the system. If we reduced the number of streets that are accessible by car and we also encouraged the citizens to use more the public transport, or even better, to be able to use the bicycle or walk feeling safe and free, we would increase the safety in the street and would reduce the pollution and climate consequences as well as contribute with the health of the habitants and the happiness. 5. Clean streets and care for the architecture and the urban furniture, with in general good policies. 5. Art and architecture that involves the citizen in the history and make your daily like pleasant. Copenhague (DENMARK) 1. Good job opportunities. 2.Good policies regarding healh care, job and education. 3. Open culture with a positive point of view. 4. Green city with a lot of benefits for the bike commuters. 5. Safe city with a balanced economical level. Sydney (AUSTRALIA) 1.Modern architecture and urban design, with fresh and new ideas and concepts. 2.Good climate conditions. 3.
