- Safety - Infrastructure - Job opportunities - Sanitation standards - Climate Q2. Why do we live where we live? ![A view of my neighbourhood, with the MRT station below and the market in the background][1] I live in Singapore, and even though Singapore is a tiny island, I'd still like to break it up into the various districts. I live in the Kallang area, and the top reason I live here is because I'm in close proximity to my grandparents (and some cousins). Transportation is excellent as well, with a train station right downstairs that can connect me to Orchard Road (Singapore's premier shopping belt) in 5 minutes. My neighbourhood is also quite safe, with a neighbourhood police post at the foot of the block. There are several schools in the vicinity, ranging from primary schools to junior college (tertiary education). Infrastructure is superb, with virtually everything from eateries, clinics, a supermarket, etcetera; the only thing that's lacking is a library, though that is just a train ride away. Q3. To what extent does your own place of residence fulfil your ideal liveability criteria? - Safety 80% - Infrastructure 99% - Job opportunities 70% - Sanitation standards 73% - Climate 70% Q4. What would you change? I would introduce more activities that can get the residents more involved to build more camaraderie as currently, I don't really see that much of activities in my immediate neighbourhood as the Residents Committee here isn't very proactive. Q5. Why do we move? - China 1. Job opportunities 2. Safety 3. Culture 4. Political stability 5. Recreational possibilities - Japan 1. Infrastructure 2. Sanitation standards 3. Environment 4. International connectivity 5. Culture - Germany 1. Economy 2. Education 3. International connectivity 4. Culture 5. Sanitation standards [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14501914784487372.jpg
