The route I take home from college varies in accordance to several factors, some of which might change on route. The walk to the bus has two routes of equal length, one being through a park and one which follows the main road through the town. As there is no time benefit from the latter, I always walk through the park as this is a far more pleasant route. My bus stops in two places, one nearer and one marginally further away. The second stop is only five minutes further but it is a much more interesting walk and I can also use the toilets in the shopping centre if I need to do so. This means that if I want to get home as quickly as possible, I take the quick but less scenic route. If I have no demands on my time or need the toilet on route, then I will travel the extra five minutes and have a longer but more pleasant walk.
