As a result, my two basic routes, going to work and going to the nearest grocery store, are all dominated by one single mode of transportation, the car. ![enter image description here][1] For my trip to the nearest grocery store, I could theoretically walk this path, but as previously mentioned, there is no safe and viable infrastructure for walking. So I usually am forced to use the car as my main mode of transportation. ![enter image description here][2] As you can see, this city is highly dependent on the car for its main mode of transportation. Even a task as simple as going to the grocery store requires someone getting into the car.
