![Driving Option][1] This image shows the drive which passes one of the most congested parts of Lincoln's road network. Combined with parking fees and the cost of running a vehicle, this is the least desirable option for me and comparable in commute time to walking and cycling options, especially when parking is taken into consideration. Parking is also charged for at work. The comfort factor of a motor car is a definite plus point however, as is the flexibility to move belongings/student work. Overall though, the costs outweigh the benefits for me. **Drive time: 10-12 minutes (often longer)** ![Cycling Option][2] This image shows the cycle route. My workplace has cycle parking and shower facilities and in any event this is a very short cycle commute. I use a folding bicycle to get to work and to get around campus. This is useful when I have a lot of student work to move (I have panniers) but can be problematic in inclement weather. The initial cost of the bicycle and insurance has to be factored in. **Cycle time: 5 minutes** ![Walking Option][3] Walking is a great option for me - probably my most common choice. This is the cheapest, most environmentally friendly option. It also gives me exercise. It does become problematic when moving large amounts of student work or in inclement weather. **Walk time: 10-12 minutes** [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14493340459330295.png [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14493341786240919.jpg [3]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14493342968054811.jpg
