Walking is also a choice, but not very often as the hot climate makes it exhausting. **Judge each alternative** My judgment for the three transportation modes goes according to the following: *Travel time:* The car has the shortest travel time; the roads are directly linking home and workplace. Cycling is also good regarding travel time, but as the roads are not designed to support cycling, some troubles may be faced especially during rush hours. Walking is not always preferable, more than 2 km of walking under bright sun is sometimes hard. *Walking distance:* The car route limits the walking distance to nearly zero; it is a door-to-door option, making it faster and less tiring. Cycling can be considered an indirect type of walking, as you move your muscles all the way long, too. However, it generally has very low walking distance. Walking maximizes this value. When not on hurry or late, walking can be enjoyable, especially in good weather. *Traffic:* During rush hours, car route could be really terrible and slow. In this case, both cycling and walking would be faster as they evade the crowd. However, walking can be the best option regarding traffic. *Social aspects:* Although walking is slower, it has some great social aspects regarding knowing your natural and built surroundings. It also encourage people to have company of friends or neighbors, as well as enjoying the open spaces and public facilities in-between their destination. *Environment:* Car route is the least preferable option regarding environment, the car traffic emits a lot of pollutants. Walking and cycling are environment-friendly and almost cost-free.
