I live in Belgium since 2014 and I do not own a car. For this reason, I use the public transport every day to go to work. The best option is by taking a tram and then a bus. It takes me 34 minutes more or less to reach my office. However, there is not much connection between these two lines so I often lose the second bus. Many times the waiting time at the bus stop, due to the traffic, is longer than the route itself. I drive to work rarely with some colleagues who live close to my place. Moreover, driving to work is more comfortable compared to use the public transport, because I do not need to change transport means or I do not have to wait at the bus stop. However, Brussels is well known for being a busy area, for this reason, during the morning, especially when it rains, I spend 30/40 minutes to go to work instead of 19 minutes. On the other hand, the best way to go to work would be by bicycle. It takes only some minutes more than the car and you can enjoy the nature because the road goes into the forest, bois de la cambre. Unfortunately in Brussels it rains a lot so often it's not possible to use the bike. [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14501233499758182.jpg
