1. Which are your top livability criteria? 1 - Job opportunities, 2 - Safety, 3 - Environment, 4 - Recreation possibilities, 5 – Transportation. 2. Why do we live where we live? I live in the outskirts of Manchester. I moved here due to my job, since Manchester offers a lot of opportunities in my field of work. At the same time, Manchester fulfils my requirements in terms of personal safety, my interest in the outdoors (it is close to the peak district, a large national park) and it is well connected to London and continental Europe. 3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfil your ideal livability criteria? 1 - Job opportunities (100%), 2 – Safety (80%), 3 – Environment (80%), 4 - Recreation possibilities (70%), 5 – Transportation (90%), Overall (85%) 4. What would you change? More museum, art and cultural events. Better weather (sunshine hours and temperature) 5. Why do we move? I would move to a place fulfilling all the criteria mentioned above (e.g. with 80-100% ratings) but in addition provided with a better climate. For example, San Francisco, Los Angeles or Sidney.
