Total time: 30 minutes, Total distance walked : 0 • Taxi / Uber: This transportation mode is similar to the private car, the only difference is that if I choose to take a taxi I have to walk around 300 meters to go to a main street. Total time: 35 minutes, Total distance walked: 300 meters • Walking: The distance is increased because when driving to the office I use highways and pedestrians are not allowed to walk this roads, If I go this way the distance is increased to 12.2 km and it would take around 2.5 hours It is important to highlight that public transportation like buses, tram, or metro is not available for my transportation requirements, despite the city is working in building a subway and BRT transit system this projects are on-going. For me the best option is to use private car for my daily transportation needs, also gas is really cheap here you can full the gas tank with less than 10 USD. Weather is something to consider when traveling around the city, during summer the temperature can be higher than 45 °C and from noon until 14:00 all outdoor work is suspended, this for sure is something to consider even if you are planning on walking for little time. And to go to work using bicycle or walking it is not an option. In addition to that sand storms are usual in this area so when we have sand storms all outdoor physical activities must be suspended.
