There is a moderately OK bus system, but no route from my home to my office, (Bus stops shown with yellow triangles), so I always walk to work. I usually take the red path to work to work, which is about a 12 minute walk (.8 miles). It is not that nice a walk. The "A" tag shows the location of a large hotel with a parking lot & garage. And across from that is a stadium. But I take the walk to work because it is shorter by several minutes. I take the green line home (1.1 miles). It is a nice walk. More to do on the walk home, places to stop, and people on the road the whole way, so it feels safer, to walk in the dark. The B tag, is on the historic district of the city - lots of tourists, lots of activity, little shops, bars, lots of activity. "C" is on the library. "D" is a grocery store. "E" shows an area with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and an art school. This area hosts street festivals, art fairs, and other activities. Even on days when there is nothing going on it is a "fun" walk. "F" is a specialty market with local produce. "G" is my butcher shop. This walk takes almost 20 minutes, but is worth the extra time. I could drive to work, but the parking garage I need to use is near the "J" tag, so that means a 10 minute drive (with traffic and one way roads) followed by a 5 minute walk, so even in bad weather it is not worth it. On Wednesday mornings I take the Green line in the morning because "J" is a farmers market. "H" is the Saturday morning farmers market. ![enter image description here][1] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14481285808718024.jpg
