The different modes of transportation in Singapore can be by foot, bicycles, buses, private cars, taxis, or the MRT (Trains). Amongst these, MRT(trains), monorails,LRT(s) and buses are categorized under public transport. Apparently for me, my workplace is also located strategically near my home, as there are several workplaces in different parts of Singapore that the employees can choose from. ![enter image description here][1] **Route from home to workplace :-** Personally, i would opt for *Route 1* as it enables me to reach my workplace at a faster time and with lesser expenditure incurred at a shorter period of time compared to *Route 2*. Personally i am also in favour of taking the public transport, as I am active in keeping a green lifestyle. *Route 3* by bicycle and walking would take too long and too much effort is required to ride a bicycle and to walk, compared to the same direct route by car or by taxi. Traffic can also play a factor in the case of *Route 3*, which varies the period of time required to get from the place of origin to the place of destination. For instance, if the traffic is heavy, the period of time taken to travel will be prolonged. Therefore, the level of satisfaction for *Route 1* is high, whereas that for *Route 2* and *Route 3* is low. ![enter image description here][2] ![enter image description here][3] ![enter image description here][4] ![enter image description here][5] ![enter image description here][6] Route from Home to Workplace: ![enter image description here][7] ![enter image description here][8] ![enter image description here][9] **From Workplace to Place for Recreation** ![enter image description here][10] By MRT (Train) ![enter image description here][11] By Bus ![enter image description here][12] Route from workplace to place of recreation: The route i would opt for is *Route B*, by MRT (train) as it enables to get to the place of recreation within the fastest period of time, and at the same time I can also avoid any possible bad traffic jams, which is a varying factor present in *Route A*. Therefore the level of satisfaction for *Route B* is high whereas that for *Route A* is low. **Route from Home to Supermarket:** I would opt for *Route (i)* as it not only eliminates traffic as a factor, it is also the route where i can reach the supermarket within the shortest period of time. *Route (ii)* would take too long a period of time, whereas *Route (iii)* has traffic as a varying factor. Heavy traffic would prolong the period of time required to reach my destination. Therefore, the level of satisfaction for *Route (i)* is high, whereas that of *Route (ii)* and *Route (iii)* is low. ![enter image description here][13] ![enter image description here][14] [1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14499745513532554.jpg [2]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14499714859983991.jpg [3]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14499722335128024.jpg [4]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14500195997178511.jpg [5]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14500196132917652.jpg [6]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14500196306529661.jpg [7]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14499737718664315.jpg [8]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14499769623224899.jpg [9]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1449986975686051.jpg [10]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1449975515536481.jpg [11]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14499755349860095.jpg [12]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14499770248001001.jpg [13]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14499884451829926.jpg [14]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14500021555016134.jpg
