I would love to take a bus all the way to work but there are reasons why i don't do so. As you can see from the alternate routes the connection to a bus is very hard. It would require me to walk for 15-20 mins or take a rickshaw. Both are extremely difficult to do for firstly It is so hot in Delhi and we don't really have any shaded paths to go through, secondly we don't have proper sidewalks either, there's always something or the other on the sidewalk that it becomes way more convenient to walk on the road itself! which is dangerous and thirdly our around my area it is too dusty and delhi is anyway too polluted that you can even come out enjoying your walk. Driving my private car is the most safest, fastest most convenient option available right now. That is why a lot of people prefer to buy a car here. Using public transport is hard to do hence people rather get stuck in a jam which leads to more pollution and more energy usage.
