[1]: https://edxuploads.s3.amazonaws.com/14498458859003217.jpg I live in a place where the mass transportation mode is lacking and virtually irrelevant. The mobility options are very limited, only by car or walking. Bicycling is not even an option due to lack of road safety, and absence of safe, cycling lanes, not to mention hot and high humidity levels in some parts of the year.Basically my daily routine is work, home with diversion for eating, shopping, and fitness in some days. I have strategically planned to live close to the office so i can walk, and this choice was driven by the knowledge that there's no mass transit to rely on, and that taxis are not regulated, putting passengers at safety risks and unpredictable expenses. If public transportation modes are more reliable and inclusive, then choice of where to live can be different as well as other livabiliy criteria that factors in the decision of where to live, work or play. . A livable city should be able to present these choices to the citizens.
