![Way to Work incl. Alternatives][1] ![Travel Time][2] The issue about my commute is that first of all, it's very long. As shown above, it takes one hour from door to door. The second issue is that the commute home is even longer because there is more traffic in the evening. While it takes an hour in the morning, it takes me at least 1h 30min in the evening. As you can see, I rely completely on buses for my commute. A subway line is going to open next year but even then the commute by bus is the most convenient and time-efficient. An alternative to my regular bus would involve more walking, an additional transfer to another bus or subway and then again walking. It would result in a longer travel, as you can see in the comparison. An advantage is that the alternative way takes a route with less traffic but due to more stops along the way the bus needs as long as the express bus on the main route. I can't really judge on social aspects or the environment. All routes involve public transport and interactions with other people is very rare (typical big city life). The happiest commute is by using the main route, but I have to admit that my commute is long and it is tiresome. At least, I don't have to transfer between different public transport methods.
