New Jersey is on the left. New York is on the right. Between them is the Hudson River. **Route 1:** The route drawn on top is the route for driving from home to the office. **Route 2:** The route drawn on the bottom is the route for taking the subway from home to the office. Taking the subway is much more effective. Subway is reliable, does not require parking or high cost for taxi, is clean, and the walking is enjoyable. I usually take a skateboard during the walking sections anyway, so it's more fun and faster. Subway (route 2) = less stress and more fun.
