Upper Town is on a small mountain, which is about 100m higher than lower town. While there are a few streets connecting upper and lower town, most of them are only usable by Car or Bus and quite dangerous for cycling because of the traffic. In both, the upper and the lower town exist bike lanes and bikepaths, but only 1 which connects those and this one is quite far off. ![enter image description here][1] To allow more people to connect those parts by cycle, a new path / lane should be created. The question is, where is the best way, where would the most people travel. There are a few possibilities to find that out: 1. Make a survey in the upper town with people working and living and spending time there, ask them about their where they go in both upper and lower town, which way they use and which mode of transport. Ask them as well if they would cycle, if there is better infrastructure. 2. Give cyclist the opportunity to track their trips with a smartphone app and GPS tracking. Those information will help to create a map of POI and connections and how they are used today. The most used route would be the best to create cyclable connection between upper and lower town.
