In past times (1890) Rijeka was well planed city with clear zonings as it was mostly industrial city with modern harbor and with one of first costal urbanism and detailed plans of tne strict central city area. ![old urbanism plan of harbour and first costal row of buildings with model of rails - scan from CITY archive][1] Nowdays there is not much happening on Citizen Design Science, but it would more than welcome, to discuss toppics of the mobility issues of the city, and plan new urbanism which would give an opportunity for growth of the city and new conections. **Q2 Think and comment on the following example: Habitats of a certain neighborhood don’t feel safe when they walk in their neighborhood in the evening and during the night. You are working for the local government and want to solve this problem through improvement of the public spaces.** First step would be to start a dialogue between users and districts or municipality. With start of the dialogue there is opportunity of seeing and opening new issues that can be solved and finding solutions to improve or resolve existing ones.After first mesures there can be open courses on how to improve safety condition, put more lighting in district to ensure better visibility and escape and resolve sections in which users feel uncomfortable. Safety of the users should be on the top of the municipalitys list. **Q3 Imagine that you have set up a project wherein you would like to make use of Citizen Design Science. Which guidelines are important in creating your own Citizen Design Science project?** In my opinion for succesful Citizen Design Science most important things are: Safety of users and pedestrian life, accessibility, transportation, knowlege and enviromental life.
