a) My own guidelines -------------------- **1 Significant information** Find out everything that might answer the following questions, which I think most people have at the beginning of something new: „What’s the problem and what do you want to do?“ „Why this should be interesting for me? / Why do you need me?“ „How can I take part and which are my benefits?“ „How much time I have to spend for participation?“ **2 Prepare this information** I recommend creating a short video and a website with interactive elements that are easy to understand for everyone and lead you into this topic, based on the information found with the questions above. **3 Update participants** During participants are collaborating data, they want to keep in touch with news and facts of the current status of the project. Otherwise they might forget the significance of the CDS project and stop providing their important observations, experience and knowledge. To my mind, a nice interpretation of these collected data through graphics and other interactive elements on the website is the ladder to success. b) Guidelines from [aaai.org][1] --------------------------- 1- First impressions matter 2- Less is more 3- Create interactive tutorials and videos 4- Support users in completing their task 5- Understand the expertise level of users 6- Remind users why the task is important 7- Provide feedback on progress 8- Allow learning to occur on all 3 levels c) Comparison ------------- Well, although there are guidelines from me which cover the ones from AAAI, I have not taken into account all of their points. The table above shows which ones might be put as similar ones. ![Guideline comparision][2] [1]: http://www.aaai.org/ocs/index.php/HCOMP/HCOMP14/paper/viewFile/9261/9188 [2]: http://s30.postimg.org/y5jo1d5u9/guidelines.png
