It's located on both banks of the river Volga in Russia. The reasons why I'm here are: 1. Education I'm studying Architecture at the local technical university. Now its my last year of Bachelor 2. Job I'm working as a trainee at the project bureau 3. My family and friends there are people here with whom I feel myself satisfied with my life and simply happy 4. Nice surrounding area Ulyanovsk is not a big city, but it is totally charming. Old wooden russian houses, historical buildings, cosy little streets, a big amount of parks and recreation places create a friendly atmosphere where you can live safely and calmly. 5. Changes I want to make this city better, solve some problems. Hope I can do it in the future. **3. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria?** My ideal livability score: 70 General: 50 For me as for a student my home city is a nice place to be with its easy transportation system, closeness to university and my work place. But in whole the economics of our city is not so good. Salaries are pretty low, prices are high and there is no way to find a really perspective work place especially for architects. ![Ulyanovsk is a green city][1] ![enter image description here][2] **4. What would you change?** The MAIN problem is that roads and yards of multistory houses are crowded with cars. and there are no parking place at all. And nobody seems like to solve this or build multi-level parkings. I think this is the first we need to think about. The other thing that we totally should conserve out historical part of the city. Most of the buildings of 18th or 19th century are in dangerous condition or just in untidy appearance. ![crowded streets][3] ![enter image description here][4] **5. Why do we move?** 1.
